With its exceptional heritage, including the Cluniac abbey church and the Maison du Prieur, Romainmôtier invites visitors to immerse themselves in the local culture by visiting local businesses, such as the Fleur de Farine bakery or the Brasserie La Brasse-Mortier, which have always been places where travelers and locals meet.

Orbe, a mosaic town

Orbe is a town of almost 8,000 inhabitants. It has a rich history, particularly in Roman times, with many remains still visible today at the Roman Villa d’Orbe-Boscéaz site. Nine Roman mosaics are on display to the public in this exceptional archaeological site.

In town, the esplanade du Château with its round tower, the narrow streets, including the colorful Rue des Moulinets, and the Chemin des Présidents along the L’Orbe river offer the perfect escape between history and nature.

Around Orbe, you’ll discover an agricultural region, including the Côtes de l’Orbe vineyards, where the work of local artisans contributes to shaping magnificent landscapes and top-quality wines.
