Markets, gourmet walks and other events punctuate the autumn season, allowing you to enjoy the region and the many nuggets it has to offer. During this season, gourmets and epicureans in particular have a lot to look forward to, as local produce takes pride of place. And let’s hope we can talk about an Indian summer with pleasant weather.
What better way to combine hiking and tasting local produce? Over the coming weekends in the Northern Vaud region, you’ll have the chance to discover the region’s terroir with gourmet walks through the magnificent vineyards of our part of the country, for example at Arnex-sur-Orbe, Corcelles-près-Concise or
On August 25th, discover the Bonvillars wine region with Lucie Theurillat and Alice Perdriolle. On this day, you’ll start by learning the basics of sketching, then discover the region’s prettiest spots to make your own sketches, while tasting Domaine de Gourmandaz wines presented by Alice. A warm and authentic moment with local personalities.
Until September 14th, Etienne Poncet welcomes you to the Poyettaz mountain pasture, at the foot of the Suchet, to explain how Gruyère d’Alpage PDO cheese is made. On this morning, you’ll learn more about life on the mountain pasture and end the activity with a country-style breakfast.
On September 29th, the Bloesch family of Domaine La Boulaz welcomes you to experience a day of harvesting with them. Jacques, Arnaud and Léonard will explain this crucial period for winegrowers, when the fruit of a whole year’s work is harvested. After an hour’s group harvesting, a tasting of Domaine wines is offered in the vineyard, with a local aperitif. The activity ends with a tour of the winery.
