With its impressive cliffs, recognisable from far and wide, Mont d’Or’s summit is an intensive excursion destination departing from Vallorbe. After a demanding ascent through the forest and across pastures, the hiker arrives in the heart of typical Jura countryside, from where he can admire numerous summits as well as the lakes of Neuchâtel, Joux and St. Point. The way back passes the Caves of Vallorbe. Parking is possible near the Vita wellness circuit.
