The Sentier du patrimoine is a trail that winds its way through the Vallon du Nozon, between La Sarraz and Romainmôtier. It takes around 3 and a half hours to cover just over 13 km, scattered with relics of industrial heritage.
From Romainmôtier onwards, hikers discover a variety of biotopes, from waterways to cliffs, as well as the spectacular Cascade du Dard. Throughout history, man has left his mark on these wild forests: prehistoric stones with strange and enigmatic signs, kilns once used to reduce iron ore, lime kilns, quarries for dimension stone or to extract the magnificent fountain basins of our Vaud villages. Sometimes steep and damp, the path remains passable all year round.
