La Dent de Vaulion (1482m)

Add to favorites
A 16km loop hike from Vallorbe to the summit of the Dent de Vaulion.

This demanding route takes hikers to the summit of this emblematic mountain, from the top of which they can admire no fewer than 8 lakes! From Vallorbe, climb up to Grands Crêts. A forest path then leads to the place known as ‘Sur le Voué’, then along a ridge leading to the Dent de Vaulion. After a well-earned break at the refreshment bar of the same name (open from May to October), the descent begins through pastures towards the Vallée de Joux. The steep path through the forest continues as far as the old road to Vallorbe. The path passes through La Pouette Combe and rejoins the road leading to Les Grottes. Return along a charming path alongside the River Orbe.
