Every year, the Pro Natura Centre in Champ-Pittet harvests around 1,500 kg of apples and pears, producing 800 litres of juice. This year, gardener Bruno Kilchherr is offering a workshop on โmaking homemade ciderโ.
During this workshop, you will harvest, cut, press and brew apples from the Champ-Pittet orchard using traditional methods. The workshop includes a theoretical section on sterilising apple juice and fermenting cider. Discover the fascinating history, process and practicalities of pressing apples and making cider. After this workshop, you’ll know the basics of making cider at home.
