Opening reception with the artists: Saturday, September 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The artists will be present on the weekends of September 20-21 and 27-28, and on Saturday, October 4, starting at 2 p.m. In addition, Marie-T Chailan will be present on Friday, October 3.
On September 20, 21, 27, and 28, Philippe Debiève will paint your portrait in the country studio set up at the Bunker
(registration at the Gallery, 20.- per session, prints by agreement)
Presentation of the artists:
Philippe Debiève considers himself a narrative portraitist. He attempts to discover the “soul” of people and places by focusing his attention on encounters and their intensity.
In this exhibition, he offers us a freeze frame, a synthesis of his feelings, in the form of photographic evocations. This is not a tourist trip but an intimate, inner journey linked to his view of the Balcon du Jura.
It was with passion that sculptor Marie-T Chailan discovered, in nature, material to imagine, to create, to dream, and perhaps also to inspire dreams…
She collects driftwood, branches, roots, and strange pieces of bark. And, under her fingers, thanks to the clay she sculpts, she gives them a second birth, a new life, wood that has now become human…
