Bonvillars, Mathod, Bavois, and Suchy are just a few of the villages in Northern Vaud that are associated with truffles, as they are home to truffle fields. However, truffles also grow in the wild, since the soil at the foot of the Jura Mountains is particularly conducive to their growth.
As soon as summer ends, you can discover truffles through the various outings and tours offered in the region. Whether it’s a tour of a truffle farm followed by an aperitif featuring truffle-infused treats, a truffle-themed cooking workshop, or a truffle-hunting experience in the forest followed by a meal cooked over an open fire, there’s no shortage of options when it comes to choosing your experience.
