Restaurant La Boîte à Musique – Grand Hôtel des Rasses

The setting of La Boîte à Musique, a bistro-type restaurant within the Grand Hôtel des Rasses, is slightly outdated, which makes it even more charming. Restaurant patrons and visitors to this family resort love the warm welcome and the excellent price-quality performance of the typically Swiss dishes on offer. Regional deli meats, rösti, beef tartar, perch fillets, fondue and other cheese dishes are the highlights on the menu card. Attached to the terroir and culinary expertise, the restaurant holds the “Home-made” label as well as the Vaud Œnotourism certification.

Opened in 1904, the restaurant was originally a shop selling souvenirs, including the famous music boxes of Sainte-Croix. In the 50s and later, La Boîte à Musique was a restaurant, a bar/dancing and then a disco.

La Boîte à Musique is within the Grand Hôtel des Rasses, a beautiful Belle-Epoque building of the 19th century at 1,200 m above sea level.
