The Mont des Cerfs gîte, a former cheese factory, is located in the heart of the Jura pastures. It offers a warm and authentic atmosphere to passing guests. It is close to hiking trails in summer and cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails in winter.
Its specialties are Bressane and Burgundian fondues or meats on slate. The ice creams (vanilla, raspberry, mocha and chocolate) as well as the absinthe parfait are homemade.
New for 2023: The Mont des Cerfs gîte has inaugurated its brand new pétanque court. Pétanque ball and jack available at the restaurant.
Summer hours 6/7: Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Winter opening hours 5/7: Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 10pm.

From the Col des Etroits car park, follow the markings for the pedestrian/snowshoe route/yellow hiking tourism markings towards La Gittaz-Dessous, via Le Mont des Cerfs. About 45 minutes of walking. Alternative route in winter via snowshoe route No. 10, via Auberson. Approx. 2h30 walk to the chalet
In summer, access by car from Sainte-Croix: direction Gittaz-Dessous then Mont des Cerfs. Parking on site.
