The Mont des Cerfs gîte, a former cheese dairy, is set in the heart of the Jura pastures. It offers a warm, authentic atmosphere for guests passing through. It is close to footpaths in summer and cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails in winter.
Its specialities include bear’s garlic, boletus or Morel & Mauler fondues. Traditional cheese or mushroom croûtes, venison roast sausage or beef on the slate and Burgundy fondue.
Open all year round.

How to get there :
– In summer, access by car from Sainte-Croix: direction la Gittaz-Dessous then Mont des Cerfs. Car park on site.
– In winter, on snowshoes / on foot / in sealskins
– From the Col des Etroits car park, follow the footpath/snowshoe trail/yellow hiking signs to La Gittaz-Dessous, via Le Mont des Cerfs. Approximately 45 minutes’ walk. Alternative route in winter via snowshoe trail No. 10, via L’Auberson. Approx. 2h30 walk to the chalet.
