The Mont des Cerfs gîte, a former cheese dairy, is set in the heart of the Jura pastures. It offers a warm, authentic atmosphere for guests passing through. It is close to footpaths in summer and cross-country ski trails and snowshoe trails in winter.
Its specialities include Bressane and Burgundy fondues and meat on the slate. The ice creams (vanilla, raspberry, mocha and chocolate) and absinthe parfait are homemade.
The Mont des Cerfs gîte recently inaugurated a new pétanque court. Petanque ball and jack available in the restaurant.
New summer opening times: Closed on Mondays. Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday closed from 4pm. Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm.
Winter opening times 5/7: Wednesday to Sunday, 11am to 10pm.

From the Col des Etroits car park, follow the markings for the pedestrian/snowshoe route/yellow hiking tourism markings towards La Gittaz-Dessous, via Le Mont des Cerfs. About 45 minutes of walking. Alternative route in winter via snowshoe route No. 10, via Auberson. Approx. 2h30 walk to the chalet
In summer, access by car from Sainte-Croix: direction Gittaz-Dessous then Mont des Cerfs. Parking on site.
