Dard Waterfall

Add to favorites
Nestled in the gorges of Nozon, not far from the medieval site of Romainmôtier, the Dard waterfall imposes itself in a surge of water in the middle of a cirque of cliffs strewn with hanging lianas and moss-covered rocks. An Indonesian-like sight in the heart of Northern Vaud.

The spectacle of the Dard waterfall has to be earned! Located along the Sentier du Patrimoine de Romainmôtier trail (SwitzerlandMobility n° 124), the breath of refreshing air from the waterfall can be felt from the steep path. An ideal place to escape the heatwave and enjoy an invigorating breath of fresh air in a magical setting.

The waterfall is accessible from Romainmôtier or from Croy by following the Sentier du Patrimoine trail. After this refreshing wild escape, it is possible to reach Romainmôtier, to have lunch and visit its exceptional built heritage, by following trail 124 towards La Sarraz, or by walking towards the village of Croy.

The path is passable year-round although it is sometimes slippery on certain sections in wet weather.
