Cross-country ski trail Mauborget – Les Rochats

From Mauborget, trail 563 crosses wide snow-covered plains reminiscent of the far north, in an unspoilt natural setting where roe deer and chamois are sometimes spotted. Halfway along, at Les Rochats, the trail passes close to the Swiss Army training area and its exercise track. Along the way, the Chalet de La Ronde Noire offers a gourmet stop to refuel. The return leg goes through the forest via La Combaz and La Caravane (where food is also available), before reaching Mauborget again, with its views of the Alps and, depending on conditions, the sea of fog. This sporty outing is intended for regular skiers.
