Departing from Yverdon-les-Bains, the North Vaud countryside loop takes you through the Vaud countryside. After wandering through the streets of Yverdon-les-Bains town centre, notably the Place Pestalozzi and its castle, you will enter a more rural environment.
After reaching Echallens, you’ll return via the Plaine de l’Orbe, while admiring the peaks of the Jura-Nord vaudois, such as Suchet and Chasseron, to name but a few. You will then approach Lake Neuchâtel to finish this 38km ride at the starting point, Yverdon-les-Bains.
At the end of the walk, we recommend you take a well-deserved break with a refreshing drink on a terrace in the town centre, or get straight into your swimming costume and head for the lake (changing rooms are freely available).
