Truffles raise many questions, which are all part of the guided tour of the Truffière Didactique in Bonvillars (VD).
Thanks to the Association “1ère Région Truffière de Suisse” and the Compagnons de la Truffe Vaudoise, Europe’s first Didactic Truffle Farm has come into being. The 6,000 m² plot in Bonvillars overlooks Lake Neuchâtel. The truffle farm features 12 species and more than 240 trees, which were planted in 2016 once they had been mychorized.
The tour is led by a truffle expert, a member of one of the truffle associations and a point of reference for all questions concerning this endearing and mysterious mushroom.
The tour lasts 2.5 hours and ends with a light snack served near the truffle farm, featuring a selection of local produce.
