A duo founded in 2022 by Alice Brandão and Maja Kralj at the Geneva University of Music. Winners of several prestigious competitions, including second prize at the Guitar Foundation of America’s International Ensemble Competition in 2025, they captivate audiences with their musical rapport, precision and the richness of their interpretations.
The duo has a special connection with South American music. The programme for this concert is a striking illustration of this, featuring Radamés Gnattali’s Suite Retratos (arr. Assad Duo), paying tribute to Pixinguinha, Ernesto Nazareth, Anacleto de Medeiros and Chiquinha Gonzaga; Américo Jacomino’s Abismo de Rosas; Astor Piazzolla’s famous Tango Suite; and Dilermando Reis’s Dois Destinos.
