In 2026, to celebrate its 125th anniversary, the Yverdon Nautical Union (UNY) plans to mark the occasion by paying tribute to its history with a lakeside race from Grandson to Murten. The race will start in Yverdon-les-Bains, passing Grandson Castle before reaching Murten. Due to the sometimes unpredictable conditions on Lake Neuchâtel, the route will be rowed in a yolette (a type of rowing boat). The 55 km route is divided into three sections of approximately 18 km each, allowing crews to rotate. This rowing race, organized by the UNY, is open to all Swiss rowing clubs.
