Chasseron Hotel-Restaurant

The Chasseron Hotel-Restaurant, at an altitude of 1607 m, boasts a view of one of the most beautiful alpine panoramas that stretches from the Titlis to the Salève. More than 250 km of alpine peaks rise on the horizon. The hotel is open all year.

The Chasseron Hotel-Restaurant and its terrace benefit from a breathtaking panorama of the Jura massif in its entirety in France and Switzerland. More than 250 km of alpine peaks rise on the horizon. The hotel is a perfect stopover for hikers in summer and snowshoe and sealskin fans in winter. It offers overnight stays with a capacity of 36 beds. The restaurant has a varied menu of typical regional dishes served in a friendly setting.

Specialities: Fondue made with sparkling Mauler wine and beef tartar.

The Chasseron Hotel-Restaurant is on their annual vacation in december.

Practical information

Access:

On foot / snowshoes / climbing skins
Starting from the car park at Les Rasses or Les Cluds, follow the walking tourism trail (marked yellow) towards Le Chasseron, via Le Rocher. In winter, follow snowshoe trail No. 2. Walk of 1 hour with a change in altitude of around 400 m.

Starting from the car park at Col des Etroits in Sainte-Croix, follow the walking tourism trail (marked yellow) towards Le Chasseron, via Les Praises, Les Avattes and Les Petites-Roches. In winter, follow snowshoe trail No. 3 up to Les Avattes. Then follow snowshoe trail No. 4 to Le Chasseron, via Les Petites-Roches. Walk of 2 hours and 30 minutes with a change in altitude of around 450 m.

In summer, access by car from Les Rasses by taking the road up to Le Chasseron. The car park is situated about 25 min. walk from the hotel. A second car park is situated below the hotel, access on request.
