This trail takes you over the summit of the Chasseron (1607m) from where you can marvel at one of the most spectacular panoramas the Canton of Vaud has to offer. From the top of this natural terrace, mountain bike enthusiasts can gaze across the vast Swiss plateau, Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Geneva as well as the chain of the Alps which stretches for more than 250 km. This route takes you through Sainte-Croix – Col des Etroits – Mont de la Mayaz – Chasseron – Les Cluds – Sainte-Croix.
This route is marked SuisseMobile number 987. You can shorten this route by 5.8 km by missing out Les Cluds and Bullet after Les Avattes, rejoining the route towards Sainte-Croix (see the map).
