DA PACEM (Bach Bartok, Stravinsky, Wolpe, Cage and modal singing)
A combination of two voices and two saxophones, a dialogue between two worlds, that of early music and that of 20th-century music, this project brings together often concentrated forms which, beyond the specificity of their languages, are linked by a modal melodic approach.
On one side of history, music written between 1200 and 1600, the Notre-Dame de Paris school, Machaut, 15th-century Italian lauds, compositions by Agricola, Josquin and Lassus.
On the other, 20th-century music by Bartok, Stravinsky, Cage, Wolpe and arrangements of traditional songs. And in the middle, the giant Bach.
