The ‘ANTON BRUCKNER BICENTENARY’ programme highlights the Mass in E minor and other choral works by Bruckner, a composer gifted with creative force, inexhaustible melodic imagination, power and harmonic variety in his quest for the absolute and eternity.
The Mass, written for eight-part choir, was premiered in 1869 and an adapted version for choir and organ was published to enable it to be performed in any church. Les Vocalistes Romands and Anna Spirina, organ, pay tribute to the great composer.
They will also perform MENDELSSOHN’s Sonata No. 3 for organ.
