For its 5th concert of the season, ‘Pleins-Jeux’ is inviting a long-standing friend who has always delighted his audiences: Alexandre Cellier. Do we still need to introduce him? That’s the question, given that he travels all over the French-speaking part of Switzerland and the rest of the world, and his credo is to meet people.
If his father, Marcel, travelled the Balkans with his recorder to introduce local people to the music of those lands, Alexandre, when he’s not drawing on his boundless imagination to come up with the most original improvisations, heads for his garden or his personal junk shop: give him a beetroot and he’ll turn it into a wind instrument; a squash into a percussion instrument; a watering can into a substitute for a hunting horn!
